I’m writing a series of stories about the Great Depression years which actually began in the 1920’s. The Stock market crash came in 1929. The depression lasted through the thirties into the first years of the 1940’s

REPRESENTATIVE RUTH BRYANT OWENS
Ruth Bryant Owens was a lady very much in the forefront of the news during the depression years in the 1930’s. She was a United States Minister to Denmark, US Representative, High Society, married a guard for Danish King, Christian.
Articles were written about her travels to Greenland, donning Greenlander costumes and visiting 14 of the 17 settlements there. There are stories about her Christmas shopping there and buying gifts for the Eskimos. Greenland was a colony of Denmark and as us minister to Denmark the press followed in her travels.

It’s a noble premise and action to take a stand against the onslaught of Socialism. One of the latest moves is for States Rights regarding gun ownership. Thousands have assumed the responsibility of educating their children via homeschooling. In the recent, “Tea Party” protest, thousands gathered with various agendas of protest.

A number of areas in the news currently protest over State’s Rights such as gun laws, gay marriage versus traditional marriage between a man and a woman. The fight between Nancy Pelosi and the CIA is also making news. And the controversy over the President speaking at Notre Dame University, The CEO of AIG, Mr. Liddy, appearing before Congress are also making news along with the ongoing billions of dollars in tax-payer bail-outs.
Like a mosquito at a nudist colony, there’s so much to do, and it is hard to know where to start.
