This August 2009 has been a month with a lot of news coming from all directions. The propaganda machines have been working over-time, with double-think, double talk; twisting the language to suit the schemes of those who are out to destroy this Nation and that which it once stood for – individual Freedom and personal property Rights.
For many years there was a great journalist, Jack Anderson, who wrote about goings on in Washington. His motto was: “I don’t cover the news, I un-cover it.” I’m encouraged to know there are a few, currently on TV and writing books, who uncover the diabolical schemes of those in power to destroy life as we once knew it in this country.

I was just reading about the AARP, the organization for retired persons in the United States. It has 40 million members, and is the largest organization in the world.
Checking my email newsletters this morning, they are mostly devoted to “Cash for Clunkers.” This is the program that the Washington centralized government came up with recently to stimulate the economy, by offering $4,500 to those who wanted to take their used cars into their local dealership, to trade in on a new vehicle. People flocked to car dealerships to take advantage of the tax-funded program.

Several years back, living in an apartment in Atlanta, across the hall from me lived a lady who worked for Internal Revenue. We had many conversations about her job and how Internal Revenue operated. The most memorable conversation we had was one about listening to the male investigative IRS agents in the snack bar area, where they gathered, laughed and bragged about how they had the power of God to do everything but raise the dead. According to my neighbor friend, it was joked about often, this assumption, they as IRS agents, compared their power and authority to God with one exception, raising of the dead.

This hot August in 2009, much is happening all at once it seems. Push has come to shove and the liberal left, those who stand for socialism, while denying it, and those few Americans who stand up for those Principles upon which this nation was founded, i.e., individual Freedom and private ownership of property, appear to be clashing.
