SECOND INSTALLMENT
I’m just thinking out loud, trying to figure out why we went from a Republic, to a Democracy, to a Nanny State Socialism.
One of those founding fathers, I think it was Jefferson, when a lady asked, “What kind of government have you given us?” replied, “A Republic ma’am, if you can keep it.”
Well, dear hearts and gentle people, we have not kept it. The three branches of government in the United States, the Congressional, the Executive, and Judicial, sometimes use the Constitution when it suits their scheme of things, and ignore it when they decide to exercise some kind of phantom power, not designated to them in the Constitution.

FIRST INSTALLMENT
As we enter a new year, it’s a good time to reflect upon where the last ten years got us. I believe this next year will clearly define who we are and where we are. The question now is how did we get to where we are? A place in a situation that many Americans are beginning to rebel over.
It has become glaringly obvious this past year, we will live in a country which stands for individual Freedom and personal Property Rights, or we will be living in a Socialist Country under a brand name of Fascism or Communism, either way, a Totalitarian centralized form of political government.

I know some of my readers follow stories about my four-year-old grandson, Prince William. Here’s the latest.
He came for a visit yesterday. Had not seen him since Christmas Day, because he had been on vacation, or at least he described it as a vacation. When I asked him to name the vacations he had been on, he rattled off, Disney World, plus a Cruise to the Bahamas, a week at Hilton Head, trip to New York, and his latest three day trip to Chattanooga area.

On this New Year’s Day, the first thing I saw on the internet was an article about Homeland Security, and the quote from Janet Napolitano, saying, “The System Worked.” Referring to the underpants terrorist, trying to blow up the airliner landing in Detroit. No, that is not true, what worked is the fact he boarded the aircraft with bomb-making material in his underbritches and a young passenger jumped his frame, strapped in his seat on fire, and thwarted the Muslim terrorist attempt to blow up the aircraft. Nothing the government watchdogs did prevented the disaster.
