DYNAMITE!! PRESIDENT OBAMA RECEIVES NOBEL PEACE PRIZE. WHY? & WHY NOT? (ISSUE 282)

The last few days in the news cycle, the news has been dominated by President Obama’s receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize. According to news reports his name had been secretly submitted, by someone undisclosed just ten days after he entered office as President of the United States.

The question everyone is asking is what has he done or accomplished which makes him eligible to receive this prestigious award accompanied by one million dollars? Apparently there are five catagories of awards each year, the Peace prize being one of them, left in the will of Nobel, who discovered dynamite. The committee meets in secret to decide who the recipients will be.

The award seemed to be a surprise to everyone including Obama, who made a speech saying he did not deserve it but accepted. I along with everyone else, asked why? Ironically, I had just posted an article a couple of days before, listing things he had not done, titled, “Leaping Lizards, it’s Obama Again on TV, What’s Next I Ask.” Then whamo!! What’s next was the Nobel Peace Prize.

A lot of commentary pro and con on tv news, blog sites, radio and Twitter. Thousands opposed the selection, expressing various reasons as to why he should not have been selected. Pervasive in comments was the fact he visits other countries and does not speak highly of this country he represents, plus the fact he has not done anything for peace.

He spends most of his time making speeches, and admittedly an eloquent speaker. However I never hear him say anything promoting the idea of Freedom for this country, instead for all kinds of Socialist programs, from Stimulus, to Clunkers to Health-care.

On a fast track taking this country down the road to Socialist totalitarism. Socialism being a system of government, taking from the haves to give to the have nots. A system in opposition to individual Freedom and private ownership of property. A welfare State which encourages non-productivity of millions, to sit back and do nothing while the government takes care of them.

In this connection, it seems appropriate and commensurate with his philosophy of socialism, to be the recipient of a million dollars as a Peace Prize when he has done nothing to deserve it.

Here’s where I think his selection and acceptance could be a positive thing. Contrary to the thousands voicing their objections and making jokes about his selection, if they would only wake up to the fact this president promotes rewarding people who do not deserve it, by taking from those according to their ability and giving to those according to their needs. Example the huge auto bail out and bank bail-outs.

His acceptance of this prestigious award, and his admission he did not deserve it, supports the notion many have and agree with, his doing nothing to deserve it. Which is consistent with the direction he’s taking this country.

It could be a wake-up call, to awaken the sleeping giant of apathy in this country. If only they would stop, think and put two and two to-gether. And realize it’s his agenda to reward those who do not deserve it by taking from producers and giving to non-producers. That’s what Socialism is, as defined by Karl Marx, who said, “From each according to their ability to each according to their needs.”

From what I gather from all his eloquent speeches, so much is about him, and his needs to have his ego continually stroked, by recognition on a world-wide basis. He seems to have a need for continuous attention to himself and adulation and world-wide recognition, when he hasn’t done anything for peace, Freedom, and producers in this country.

That’s why I suggest, his selection and acceptance could be a good thing. After all the award itself and the prize money was not out of the pockets of American citizenry. But it’s symbolic of his methodology of governing. Take from those who have it and give to those who don’t deserve it.

I think it’s a great lesson to the American people, if they would just get off their high horse of knocking his selection and acceptance, and bless it. We have been so brain-washed and propagandized by the jack-hammer of socialist rhetoric, we don’t recognize a good thing when it comes our way.

I’m in the minority, but I think this Nobel Peace Prize award to Obama, voted on just ten days after he took the oath of office of the President of the United States is a good thing. And I’m glad they gave it to him. All the attention he has received as a result is a real AHA moment.

Here’s a great quote from Albert Jay Nock; the source is “The Criminality of the State,” American Mercury Magazine, March 1939. “Many now believe that with the rise of the totalitarian State the world has entered upon a new era of barbarism. It has not, the totalitarian State is only the State; the kind of thing it does is only what the State has always done with un-failing regularity if it had the power to do it, wherever and whenever its own aggrandizement made that kind of thing expedient. Give any State like power hereafter, and put it in like circumstances, and it will do precisely the same kind of thing. The State will un-failingly aggrandize itself, if only it has the power, first at the expense of its own citizens, then at the expense of anyone in sight. It has always done so and always will”
