The uproar over the Supreme Court ruling, the Affordable Care act called Obamacare ruled Constitutional by the Supreme Court is causing upheaval as it dominates the air-waves. But this will soon die down, and the usual pall of apathy will settle in with most, but a few stragglers will hang on to rant and rave for awhile, with no one listening.
This is a presidential election year and the Republican candidate Mitt Romney immediately announced he would repeal the act his first day in office if elected. Election is in November and whoever is elected won’t take charge until January 1st, 2013.
The Speaker of the House, Boehmer, announced he will introduce a bill to repeal it in Congress.
Individuals and groups are crying out, “We’re gonna revolt!”
In the ruling of nine Supreme Court justices, four so-called conservatives voted against the legislation, and four so-called Liberals voted for its legality and the Chief Justice, Roberts, with a reputation of being a conservative, voted with the four liberals, declaring the act Constitutional, based upon the fact Congress has the power to tax, and declaring it a tax.
This means the majority of 535 members of Congress elected by the people, one President in the Executive branch, and five members in the Supreme Court, set up a condition which turns this awesome tax bill over to the most hated department of the government, the Internal Revenue Service, to collect and enforce and further enhance their power.
Since the passage of Obamacare, President Obama has repeatedly told the American people the Act is not a tax. And has promised repeatedly he would not raise taxes on those whose income was less than $250,000 .
The President attended the most prestigious law school in the US, Harvard University, and as President has access to advice and interpretation of the law, by the best lawyers and most noted law professors in the US. And yet he claims the Act is not a tax. The power to rule in a disclaimer by one person that it is a tax, was in the hands of one justice of the Supreme court, Roberts, and so he did.
It seems rather paradoxical that a Republican appointee to the Court ruled in favor of a Democratic Congress and Democratic presidential piece of important powerful legislation.
Despite the fact the president has repeatedly claimed it not a tax, which supports his game plan of dialectic materialism, that he’s not going to raise taxes, all points up the fact that one of the mainstays in the tool-box of Socialists to gain power and control is dialectics, which is a variety of speech distinguished from the standard language by variations, vocabulary, pronouncements and etc., to establish validity. It was the doctrine of Karl Marx in the Communist Manifesto. In other words to put it simply, it’s a modus operandi to use language to dazzle with foot-work. It propagandizes and fools the people with confusion.
And if the massive congressional act of Obama, consisting of thousands of pages, admittedly the elected who passed it into law, never read it. And was the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who announced the people would have to read after it was law, to understand it. Without reading and offering any interpretation, is a glaring example of dialectic materialism. The glaring news reports of the state of confusion of the American people, emphasizes this observation and opinion.
To add to the confusion, along comes the Republican candidate announcing he will repeal his first day in office. He can’t do that. There is a procedure and only Congress has that authority and ability.
Then the House Speaker announces he’s going to repeal. He can’t do that. It must be passed by a a majority in the House, which they could do inasmuch as it’s a Republican majority, but then it must go to the Senate, controlled by Democrats and Harry Reid, and they are not going to vote on repeal.
All this leaves the individual with the responsibility of understanding the dazzling foot-work via the language perpetrated upon the American citizenry. The President who claims it’s not a tax, and the House of Representatives Speaker and the Republican candidate claiming they will repeal, and neither have that authority. Hello, dear hearts and gentle people, wake up, you are being snockered on all levels by politicians.
Which leads us to what Justice Roberts said about his stamp of approval and ruling in his opinion: “We the Court, possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative, to make policy judgments. Those decisions are entrusted to our nation’s elected leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them. It is NOT our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”
Inasmuch as the politicians are lying to the citizenry about what is and is not, what they can and will do, and the majority refuse to heed the words of wisdom issued by Judge Roberts, then we might as well throw in the towel, and expect more of the same, with reference to the the direction this once great Republic was designed to do, inasmuch as we are on a fast track to a totalitarian socialist society.
I for one think the Obamacare legislation is a horrendous act of enslavement, but do think Justice Roberts made the correct ruling and right on in his opinion. It’s a wake up call to the American people. Whether or not it’s heeded, or the majority fall right back into their comfort zone of apathy, only the future will tell. Time is of the essence, and I personally think waiting til the election before making changes is a mistake.
Outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention ended, Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin: “Well Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” Without any hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, “A Republic, if you can keep it.”
Now just over two-hundred years later, history has proven unequivocably, we have not kept it. And failed miserably to maintain and sustain the individual Freedom fought, won, and died for in the Revolution, which broke the chains of bondage from a despotic ruling king. Instead, we have foolishly flocked to the polls and voted into power a small group of individuals, who have passed into law so many rules, regulations, policies and edicts, we are now in bondage, and under the spell it’s taboo to even discuss Freedom. Fallen prey to indoctrination, propaganda and dialectic materialism.
