OBAMA BOMBS MOON – SAME TIME ACCEPTS PEACE PRIZE – ELEVATED TO POSITION BY VOTES (ISSUE 285)

THIRD IN THIS SERIES – HOW HE AND OTHERS REACH THEIR LOFTY POSITIONS

As we ponder how we reached the state of crisis we are now in on a graph from individual Freedom, and take a look at just where we are on the chart towards Socialist totalitarianism, and a One World Government, we must ponder how we got there.

We are in a squeeze play, rather helpless to change direction unless we dissect to understand how we reached this state of affairs. But we are not yet powerless to change the direction. No question about it, it’s a daunting task which lies before us. It’s not just me and thee, it’s civilization as we know it, that’s at stake. These are times “…that try men’s souls.”

As we listen to daily news about the “falling dollar,” many of us ponder over what we can do to protect any assets, ourselves and our children and grandchildren. Switching paper money to gold and silver only addresses a small part of the problem. It is much more than that at stake. It’s a way of civilized life as we once knew it, at stake.

I can look back on my own life and recall a time in my early twenties working at a small town polling place during a local election and voting. I thought I was doing my patriotic duty. Later, being married to a military officer, again I thought it my patriotic duty to support him while he fought for Freedom of this country in wars like Korea and Vietnam.

Later on, as I have described in some of the stories about my life, I began having misgivings about my high school civics lessons which taught that ours was a government “Of the people, by the people and for the people.” As a result I went on a seven-year journey of pursuit to learn the meaning of Freedom, and the role of political governments.

When I “got it,” I parted company with the military life, moved to the country on a little 18-acre farm and began learning how to be self-sufficient. I acquired an acre garden, learned how to can and freeze food, had pigs, chickens, two dogs and a parakeet. Despite the fact I grew up on a farm, actually knew little about how to do it. It was a great learning experience for me. But eventually left that life, moved into town and started a business.

All that seems a long time ago. However what I learned about the Philosophy of Freedom remains unchanged.

I began writing these Blog articles about two years ago and since that time have been in contact with many individuals around the globe. As I have observed the erosion of individual freedom and the destruction and dismantling of personal property Rights, it’s my conclusion very few understand the real meaning of Freedom and Ownership.

I must have been looking through rose-colored glasses, because I thought everyone wanted Freedom. I have since concluded such is not the case. Despite the fact many do, the majority seek the paternalism of political government and look to a centralized government to take care of their needs. Because Freedom is self-responsibility and self-control, many do not really want to be responsible for their actions. They are under the mis-guided notion, the responsibility for their lives and actions is transferrable to someone else. They still think they can be happy, and live their lives as they choose, expecting government to take care of them. It’s a contradiction which has landed us in the crisis we now face.

Many labor under the misguided notion, we can vote ourselves out of the mess we voted ourselves into. Thousands upon thousands, into the millions, are thinking today, if we could only elect the right person, or exert enough influence via letters, e-mails, phone calls and twittering we could change this direction of a socialist totalitarian State. But such is not the case as I described in the first two articles of this series. “Power corrupts and absolute power absolutely corrupts.”

Currently we are living in an era of political corruption and bankruptcy. Things are rapidly changing day by day. Any hopes of change for the better will come from the hearts and minds of the American people, not from political government. Therefore the first step is to change that expectation ASAP.

As I see it there is not enough desire for individual Freedom, nor a clear-cut understanding of its meaning to make the necessary change. So bogged down in the thinking of the majority is the notion, elected representatives will come to the rescue, just can’t see the forest for the trees.

There is a glimmer of hope from the actions of “tea parties,” townhall meetings and the message of a few individuals. But even so many of those resistant to the onslaught of governmental interference into their lives, still think the change will come through them and not themselves. Still think that through organization, speaking loudly enough to the bureacracy will change who they are and what they do.

Refusing to face the fact, political employees have such a lust for power and self-aggrandizement, they are not going to voluntarily let go and act in opposition to their best interests and suddenly switch gears and act in the best interests of those who elected them.

Therein lies the fallacy in the thinking of the majority of the American people. We have moved dramatically away from those early settlers who had a “root hog, or die” mentality of self-responsibility and a desire to be free, to this era of dependency upon a centralized political government with expectations to “take care” of us.

It’s not rocket science, but quite simplistic. We have moved from a desire to be free and a recognition of self-responsibility and acceptance of what that means, into this era of thinking it is transferrable. A mind-set that believes we can avoid bondage by relinquishing self-responsibility for our lives and children.

Despite the fact there is some uprising of resistance to the take-over by political government designed to move into a one world government, there is a lack of understanding of the real meaning of Freedom. And no large numbers with a burning desire for it. Sadly, it is the absence of the burning desire for individual freedom, in enough numbers, which lies at the core of the losing battle in this war of ideas.

Because we are already into several generations of indoctrination into the socialistic philosophy, and the dismal abysmal mediocrity of that way of life and thinking, brought about through the teachings in the socialist school system, and governmental propaganda, without some miracle it’s unlikely there will be a change of direction.

Mainstream America could wake up, stand up, inform themselves of the true meaning of Freedom, private ownership of property Rights, and take responsibility for their lives and actions and reverse the direction. But the question is, are enough willing to do that NOW. Or, are they going to sit back in their world of apathy, believing the government is going to take care of everything, and expect them to take care of everything, and wake up in the near future in bondage. The question is, is it already too late?

In my opinion, if it’s not already too late, when that health reform program goes into effect it will be.

Taking into consideration, two expensive wars going on, a regime in power that pushes through huge socialistic programs, the falling dollar, rising unemployment, housing foreclosures, Socialistic schools which eat up over half State budgets, and a large portion of the population already on government doles. Foreign countries at the backdoor we owe money to, yelping to change the currency. The federal reserve running a grist mill around the clock, printing paper dollars, aliens flooding into this country, the associated crime of drug peddlers. Many colleges and universities top-heavy with tenured socialist teachers coupled with the apathy of so many in mainstream America, the future does not look very bright.

The brightest thing I have seen on the horizon lately is the little six-year old boy who stood up and spoke out against the injustice perpetrated upon him, when he faced problems as a result of taking his cub-scout eating utensils to school. He deserves the young man of the year award. And an inspiration to all of us! Out of the mouths of babes! Such a display of courage from a six year old.
