OBAMA AND ROMNEY IN NEXT SEVEN MONTH BATTLE. DO WE NOW UNDERSTAND OBAMA? (Issue 715)

I have written a lot of articles about politics and politicians. However I’m not a political activist, but well aware those elected have some affect directly or indirectly on my life and that of my children and grandchildren. Plus my love of freedom prompts me to keep up with all that’s taking place in this Nation.

Quite different from my growing up years on a farm during the great depression, more and more areas that affect our lives come from the dictates of the centralized government in Washington, pre-empting States Rights and Individual Rights as specified in the Constitution.

PART THREE – “NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION” – GO CREATE YOUR OWN JOB (Issue 714)

PART THREE

In Part One and Part Two, I have explained some of the jobs I created to make a living. A part of my core belief is that I have a Right to life by virtue of the fact I’m here, and from that flows a Right to make a living. Therefore I would simply decide to do something. I think the difficulty for most is in making a decision to try something. And old tapes begin playing in one’s head, that prevent some from trying. If you stop and think about it the job you apply for to work for someone else is a venture which stems from a decision someone made to start the business. And you must do the same thing if you would like working for yourself.

PART TWO – “NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION” – GO CREATE YOUR OWN JOB (Issue 713)

PART TWO

As I look back on my life, I feel so blessed having grown up in the Great Depression years. A time when one enjoyed much more Freedom than we have today. I was blessed to have a father who always helped me with school assignments and a mother with so much innate wisdom, and in my eyes as a child could do anything. She worked in the home and on the farm. Every year canned 800 cans of food to go through the winter. Made most of my clothes growing up. Knew how to cure meat in the smoke-house. Had quilting parties in the winter. A great cook and full of wise sayings, frequently quite witty. Knew so much about natural healing, I rarely saw a doctor growing up, and lead a healthy happy life for the most part the first 17 years of my life.

“NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION” – GO CREATE YOUR OWN JOB (Issue 712)

Following yesterday’s article, “Where I Came From and Where I Am Today,” I decided it might help someone out there if I wrote about my survival during some tough times.

Shortly before I got a divorce after 24 years marriage, I had lost my job as executive director of a Motel Managers school, because the franchise was moved out of Atlanta. I had not held many jobs during my stint as an Air-Force wife. My last job while in the military as a dependent wife was in Biloxi, Mississippi, as manager of a photography studio. When my husband received orders to go to Korea, I moved to Florida to take care of his ailing parents, while he spent a year in Korea.
