When I suggest politics operates precisely like cancer, here’s why.
Cancer is a disease in the body where healthy cells have become diseased, caused by any number of things like pollutants, parasites, eating and drinking things that are toxic to the body, etc. Because the body works to heal itself, it sometimes takes these foreign toxic substances and corrals them into one area in the form of a tumor, encapsulates, then we have it cut out and another forms in another area. Cancer is a constructional disease rooted in every drop of blood in the body.
Cells divide and sub-divide. When a cell becomes diseased, it feeds off other cells and proliferates by dividing and sub-dividing. It has been described as a disease of starvation, supported by the emaciated skin and bone condition of patients before dying. No matter how much they eat, the body deteriorates into skin and bones. That’s because the diseased cells have grown and divided to a point they have the supremacy over all the cells and continue feeding, dividing and sub-dividing until there is not enough life force left in healthy cells to sustain life. The disease itself is parasitical because bad cells survive and thrive off the healthy cells until these healthy cells are destroyed.
Political government operates the same way. It has nothing to sustain itself from the beginning until it takes from others (producers) to maintain and sustain it. It starts out small, then divides, sub-divides and proliferates as it takes more and more from producers. Keep in mind there are only three kinds of people—producers, non-producers and distributors. Political government takes from the healthy people (producers) redistributes to non producers, taking a huge slice off the top first.
A political government never reduces itself, but always, without exception, is expanding by dividing and sub-dividing. In the beginning of this nation, just over 200 years ago when the new government was formed, it was very small, growing and proliferating by dividing and sub-dividing into thousands of bureaucratic agencies. Look in your telephone directory at the number of listings for federal, state, county and city, multiply by fifty states, then imagine how many are employed in each agency.
Like a diseased cell, each one of those agencies has the power to drain and siphon off the producers. The producers are the host the non-producing parasites feed off from. They are not producing anything. They simply take and distribute part of their take. And every one of these departments has agents that carry guns to enforce, right down to a small city. Reports about these agencies tell us they are always expanding and demanding more and more as they divide and sub-divide into more and more agencies and departments.
If the growth and expansion of cancer is not stopped by a change by the host body, it continues until the person dies. But usually before this happens, there is a great deal of suffering.
In totalitarian countries, like some in Africa, the power of the parasitical regime kills off many with guns, while many others just starve to death. It is a glaring example of political starvation.
One might think, “oh no, that is not happening in this country,” but much IS happening that is taking us in the direction down that path. I live in a small town, read a small town newspaper, and hear of more and more drawing unemployment. When I go to the grocery store, I watch those in line ahead of me pull out government food vouchers. The economy in this country is worse than we know, but seems to have more bounce to the ounce as it goes up and down like a yo-yo. Every time it goes down, it goes down deeper each time.
Many think if we could only elect some honorable, reputable, law-abiding people to congress, the problem would be solved. “Power corrupts” and more power is powerfully corrupting. Changing the guards in a corrupt system isn’t going to do it. One can’t expect morality in an immoral system.
I learned this lesson back in the sixties from the corrupt socialistic school system. For several years, I worked to improve the system. I even went as far as forming a textbook committee, where we spent many hours going over the undesirable material in textbooks. I presented our findings to the state textbook committee. It changed nothing. I attended PTA meetings for discussions about all that was wrong in the schools. Nothing changed, but went from bad to worse. I decided what the PTA does is meet, eat and retreat.
Now the socialist tax-supported school system extracts more money from producers than many of the other agencies. It is huge. I have one daughter who worked in a large corporate office over 30 years and during that time, paid many school taxes, and never had any children . . . a taking of the haves to give to have nots.
I repeat that taxes are by definition an involuntary relinquishment of one’s property, and that thievery is the taking of one’s property in violation of the owner’s will. Stealing is an immoral act. It violates the great moral guide of the Ten Commandments. Therefore, the entire “public system” is immoral because it’s based upon a system of thievery. No amount of money for teachers, school buildings, books, charter schools, vouchers or anything else can change that fact.
When I realized this, it was a defining “aha” moment for which I had been spinning my wheels and lending my time and energy to change things for the better, when in fact, I had been supporting an immoral system. Like dropping a frog in a bucket of hot water, I leaped out, removed my children and home schooled them.
Consequently, I say to those who are under the illusion that the direction we are headed can be changed by electing good and decent constitutional honoring officials to go to Washington, it isn’t going to happen. Attempts to place good and moral people in the corruptive immoral system will not change it anymore than placing the most qualified teachers in the immoral school system that does not educate but indoctrinates.
The power to change things lies in the hands of the people, not elected politicians. As evidenced by things deteriorating on a daily basis. When the early founders of this country decided they wanted to run their lives, wanted to be free of the bondage imposed by the king of England, did they get together a group of good men to send over there to change things from the seat of power? Oh no, they dumped tea in the Boston Bay and declared they had had enough, with a mind set that they were not putting up with this any longer!!!
For those who speak of revolution, I suggest it has already taken place. Personal freedom and ownership of private property has already been revolutionized and completely changed. It happened while we were asleep at the switch.
For those who have any doubts about what has taken place, go back and read my article about how the one-galloused stranger captured the wild hogs in the Okefenokee Swamp in South Georgia. The lesson is clear.
The notion we can select, appoint, and elect someone else to clean up the mess we are in, is still one that abandons self-responsibility and self-control. It’s a notion that self-responsibility is transferable. That’s what got us to the state we are in. Its not rocket science, but common sense.
