So many of the undesirable changes made in this country, have been a result of the way the language has been used, misused, twisted, changed and subverted. George Orwell, double-think, double-talk. We have difficulty communicating, because we differ in the intrepretation of words, which frequently carry different connotations to different persons.
For example, take the word “progressive,” an adjective with positive connotations, like making progress, moving forward. Conversely, it can be used to mean reform in Government, to totally change this country from a Republic with a Constitution, to a socialist, marxist, communist form of government, which is negative.
Under the leadership of Theodore Roosevelt in 1912, a political party was formed called “The Progressive Party.” In 1924 a Progressive party was formed under the leadership of Robert M. LaFollete. In 1948, a political party was formed under the same name, which nominated Henry A. Wallace for President.
The bottom line of Progressives is to do away with the United States Constitution, to clear the way for a One World Government.
The goal of a Socialist is to do away with Private ownership of property and personal Freedom. The aim is to disregard the Constitution.
Freedom is Self-Responsibility and Self-control. One who believes in Freedom, supports the Principles upon which this country was founded in order to have individual Freedom. Those basic Human Rights, expressed in the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution.
At this very turbulent time in history, if you are one of those individuals trying to understand what’s going on, trying to sort things out, it can be simplified by understanding three things, what a Progressive is, what a socialist is, and the meaning of Freedom.
Unless you do this, you will be bogged down by confusion. Here’s an example of the double-think, double-talk. A few days ago I heard the daughter of Senator John McCain, the Presidential candidate, speaking, and heard her say she was a “Progressive Conservative.” I shuddered when I heard it, however if we listen carefully, and understand the verbiage, much will come into focus to understand what is happening in this great nation.
Because there are so many labels, we cannot figure out who’s horseback and who’s afoot, unless we clear the deck in our thinking processes and get right down to where the rubber hits the road. We hear people calling themselves Liberals, Conservatives, Independents, Democrats, Republicans, Moderates, Socialist, Marxist, Fascist, Communist and on and on. Plus the double labeling like Progressive Conservative, and Moderate Democrat. It’s no wonder there’s confusion, which is the purpose of all of it. A situation I call, prostitution of the language.
We need to clear the deck, and rise above all the current confusion. It might help clarify to remind ourselves of one simple fact, i.e., one can’t be half pregnant. You either are or you ain’t. And in this connection, you are either free or in bondage. All these varying degrees of socialism, no matter what the name or label, boil down to one goal and that’s a one World Government of Progressives, whereby the Principles of this Constitution have been destroyed.
Years back the perennial candidate for President of the Socialist Party, Norman Thomas, informed us this country would never accept Socialism under that name, but would swallow line, hook and sinker all phases of it under Humanitarism. That’s the nanny state we hear so much about lately. The posture of the current political government is to take from producers to re-distribute to non-producers, that humanitarism. They keep telling us they are going to tax the Rich to take care of the poor. That’s misleading and not exactly the truth. Actually the game-plan is to plunder everyone, to re-distribute to those chosen by the establishment. After they skim the cream off the top an amount to subsidize their extravagant life-style of indulgence. The Elitists.
To thoroughly understand what’s taking place, all one needs to do is review the history of the early part of the 20th century. The passage of the progressive income tax in 1913, followed by the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank; check out the Hardings and the Hoovers, the forerunners of the Roosevelt regime. It’s the Progressives and the Progressive Party which is the bedrock of our current dilemma. All the other labels I listed are varying degrees of off-shoots from that era of Progressives.
Canada, a Socialist Country, our neighbor, has a Progressive-Conservative Party, mentioned by John McCain’s daughter recently. That is her claim, she’s a Progressive Conservative.
We are now living in an era where it is unfashionable and even taboo in many circles to mention the word “freedom” or discuss Capitalism, or the Free-enterprise System, or Individualism. We are into other labels and “group-think.” We have gone way past George Orwell’s 1984.
We rarely heard the word Socialism, until 2008 during the Presidential election candidacy. Following that, you can expect to hear more and more usuage of the word “Progressives.” And because of that probability, one needs to know the underlying aim of Progressives is to dismantle and destroy the US Constitution. No longer a country under the rule of law, but under the rule of Socialists, under the umbrella of Progressives.
Just follow the yellow brick road. Where we came from, where we are today and where it’s all headed.
It seems apropos to keep repeating what Abraham Lincoln said February 12, 1865. “The people are the rightful masters of both congresses and courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it.”
