This month I celebrate my one year anniversary blogging and this article is number 200. I can say, Whew!! It has been a very interesting year… Fast moving with national news, because of the election in November, the installation of a new President and a new regime, the recession, the bailouts and tomorrow all the tea parties across the United States. A lot has been happening at a rapid pace.
I now have a Twitter site… I did not know what twittering was, anymore than I knew what blogging was, a year ago.
It was just after the first of the year 2008, when my son e-mailed and said he would set up a blog site for me if I would write the articles. We decided we needed about 50 to begin with, so I began writing about anything that came to mind. The site was named octogenariansblog.com. I did not know what a blog was or what an octogenarian was at that time.
Here it is – January 2009. I’ve been blogging on my very own website almost a year now and have posted over 150 articles on a variety of subjects. What a difference a year makes. This time last year, I did not know what a blog was. For months after I began writing for my blog, I did not read other blogs. I read a lot of books, newspaper articles, magazines, and listened to the TV, however, I only began reading what others wrote on blog sites a few months ago.
Because of recent publicity in newspapers, along with interviews for potential television appearances in regards to my writings on my blog site, octogenariansblog.com, many people have been asking me a lot of questions like: Why are you receiving this publicity? Why do you have a blog site? What do you write about and why do you write?
