HOW DOES THE GULF OIL SPILL COMPARE TO AN ATOMIC BOMB BLAST? (Issue 398)

Listening to all the news about the worsening conditions and threats to this country as a result of the Gulf oil spill, I have deepening concerns about the dilemma. Especially when I hear rumblings about consideration to bomb it.

Today I heard news it might spread around lower Florida, then reach Miami. If this is true, isn’t there a possibility it will move on up the Eastern Seaboard Coast? And if it keeps on at the current rate of spill, isn’t it possible, especially with hurricane winds, to creep further inland?

BP CEO TONY HAYWARD YACHTING – CONGRESS YO YO-ING – OBAMA YAKKING – MEDIA YELPING – HEAR YE, HEAR YE (Issue 393)

A media frenzy this week, picking and kicking at Tony Hayward, the six-million dollar man, who heads up British Petroleum (BP), appearing before a congressional hearing in Washington. Apparently bedazzling the whole lot of members of Congress with his footwork and adept question dodging.

Over the years, I have listened to many congressional fact-finding hearings, on the radio, television and once in person. Plus reading many accounts of hearings, like the Alger Hiss hearings. Never have I heard anyone in the hot-seat before Congress with the mental dexterity to handle elected officials like Tony Hayward.

BARACK & BP – THE POLITICS OF RIGGING – A THREE ACT PLAY IN THE TRANSFORMATION OF AMERICA (Issue 390)

In my opinion the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, is the most devastating event in our history. It threatens the species of wildlife, the planet and the future of mankind. More so than wars, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, or nuclear threat. On the exponential scale of devastation, worsens daily.

If there’s anything positive about it, it’s an opportunity to use as a wake-up call, as to what is happening to mankind in general and this nation in particular. We hear so much about our dependence upon oil. The fact of the matter is, we have reached this hellish state as a result of our dependence upon a political process to take care of us from cradle to grave, and instead of recognizing the lesson, louder cries go out to those in power to fix the problem they caused. This disaster is man-made.
