FIFTH IN SERIES ABOUT SCHOOLS
Last few days I’ve been writing about the schools in this country, including stories of some of my personal experiences. Yesterday I had decided my next one would be a story of experiences in Nevada with the Textbook Commission. Imagine my surprise when I turned on TV last evening, there’s Tucker Carlson on Fox News reporting on Textbooks, in an entire program relative to what’s happening today in textbook material.
I did not see all of the program, but what I did see, warns parents to beware of current textbook material. There’s an absence of material about American history, a great deal of material on Muslim religion, and more undesirable material in the textbooks.

Fourth in my series of articles about schools.
First, I wish to say how impressed I am with the thousands of parents across this country who have opted to remove their children and home-school them. It’s an admirable decision to take on a tough job. Some of these parents have several children they keep home and teach. Because they are the children not indoctrinated in the philosophy of socialism, like those enrolled in the public schools, the future of Freedom in this country lies in their hands.

This is the third in a series of articles I’m currently writing about the school controversy. Months back I have written bits and pieces about the tax-supported school situation and my history battling them.
Because this past week’s news cycle brings attention to a lot of objection over Obama’s upcoming speech next week, it seemed the time is apropos for telling more about my personal story and the battles I fought with the system.
My disenchantment with the so-called “public education” actually began back in early sixties. Because I actually had two sets of children subjected to the compulsory attendance laws, and the subsequent abuse, I’m going to relate events with my last child. After removing my older children and home-schooling.

I’m a clipper of news articles and have a large box of news items about the tax-supported school system.
I’ll begin with an article from December 2008, which states, “education represents more than 55 percent or nearly $8.2 billion of Georgia’s fiscal year 2009 budget, according to the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget.”
That’s a whopping amount of money. It is a requirement for payment by everyone, even those who have no children in the system. I personally have no idea how much schooling another requires, needs nor wants, and definitely have no interest in paying for it.
