The much anticipated rally, organized by television and radio personality Glenn Beck, came across as a great success on Saturday, August 28th.
I’m personally a supporter of his, and some-one I refer to fondly as “What the heck Glenn Beck” when I mention him in my articles.
His demeanor always comes across with tremendous sincerity, love of God, family and America. Saying, “Come celebrate America by honoring our heroes, our heritage, and our future.”
He has become America’s teacher, about our founding fathers, frequently reminding us they pledged their lives, fortunes and honor to stand up and fight for personal Freedom. Relating interesting stories on his 5 o’clock weekly television program, about so many of the men and women, influential in the formation of this nation, authoring the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
Those two great documents of Principles and laws, upon which the inalienable Rights given to us by our Creator, God, clearly express the fact, Freedom is not something handed down to us by government, nor persons, but given to us by virtue of the fact we exist, by a Divine God.
It seems unfathomable, to me, anyone could be in opposition to the the simple truths Glenn Beck expresses, and stands up for, living in this great country, founded upon the Principles he teaches. However, this country is currently clearly divided, between those who seek individual freedom, and stand for private property Rights, and the capitalistic free-enterprising system, and those who oppose those natural Rights.
I see this defining moment as a blessing, and one long overdue, to separate the wheat from the chaff, in this battle, a War of Ideas, we are now engaged in. Not a time to straddle the fence, with an if, ands or buts attitude, but a time to admit to ourselves individually, what we stand for, and stand up and be counted, because the very idea of Freedom, was first born in the hearts and minds of those brave founders, who fought and established the foundations of Freedom, handed down to us. Now so diminished by political government, must be re-born in this generation. The time is now, not tomorrow or next year, because tomorrow or next year the chains of bondage might have such a strangle-hold, too late to re-claim.
All of us innately know, Freedom requires “Eternal Viligance,” but somewhere along the line we became so apathetic, and uncaring, and disinterested, the enemies of the American way of life got a foothold, and transformed.
Along came Glenn Beck, the one person, speaking up, speaking out, and teaching us, about the Principles of Freedom upon which this nation was founded. Charging forth in spite of any opposition from those who vociferously clamor, with their loud outcry of criticism, counteracting with the same old verbiage we have heard repeatedly over the past few years. The same old boring, bantering, socialist-line we have heard over and over, ad nauseum.
Last evening, I listened to Geraldo interview Al Sharpton on Fox news, and Sharpton’s same old rabble-raising line, he so repetiously dishes out. A stirring stick, about Civil Rights. When I first tuned in, thought to myself, here comes the pity party pitch, using Civil Rights issue to criticize the very successful Rally of Restoring Honor, put on by Glenn Beck. Al Sharpton’s representation of division in this country, still promoting it, while there is now a growing display of the other side, as the American people slowly awake from their slumber.
Glenn Beck, neither a preacher nor politician, is successfully doing what no politician nor preacher has done before him, and that is awaken the sleeping giant in the Freedom-loving citizens in this country. Just in the beginning stages, the thousands attending the “Restoring Honor Rally” are a testimony to the disenchantment and rejection of the takeover transformation of America. And an apparent outpouring of energy, ready to rollback the policies, laws, edicts, and gameplan of that group who have implemented all the Socialist agenda in this once Free Nation.
Just a few weeks ahead of the mid-term elections in November, time is of the essence, as the window of opportunity narrows, to continue in the same direction of Socialist bondage, or turn the tide around, to re-claim the God-Given Right to Individual freedom, this nation was founded upon. A daunting task, indeed, but one man has risen from the ranks, to show the way, telling us we must restore ourselves to restore America. Reminding us we are at the crisis point, having grown lazy and apathetic regarding our responsibility to self-govern.
